What Do You Value?
Andrew Stirrat– Guest Columnist

Each day we are faced with more than 50,000 choices to which a decision is required. Fortunately, most of them require little to no thought.

We have become programmed over time to behave in certain ways. These behaviors reflect our belief system about how we see the world and how we choose to live in it.

This belief system, or set of values, is the guiding light for the decisions we make.

Everyone has values. Except for a few socially defined unacceptable values, there are really no right or wrong values. However, most people would be hard pressed to define what their values are. Yet, they make decisions everyday based on something they can't define.
An easy way to test your values is to pull out your checkbook and also review your calendar. Look at how you spend your money and your time. These choices clearly define what is most important to you.

Take a moment today and consider– Are my actions reflecting what truly matters the most to me in the long run?

The choice is yours.
